The Toyota Land Cruiser has received the trust and confidence of outdoorsmen from all over the world. This highly respected vehicle was completely redesigned in October 1989 and part of the 2nd generation Land Cruiser line-up released in 1989 was the Land Cruiser 80 VX Limited. Built for the toughest off-road terrain, the Land Cruiser featured a full ladder frame and incorporated a full-time 4WD system with coil spring damped suspension to provide the driver with optimum off-road performance as well as superb ride comfort. The Toyota Land Cruiser drew much attention by setting a new standard of off-road vehicles. About the Model: The distinctive form of the Land Cruiser has been richly rendered. Metal-plated parts to depict front grille and side mirrors highlight exterior details. Hood is molded with clear plastic to allow viewing of the inline 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine. Hood is detachable even after assembly. Ladder frame chassis with front 3-link and rear 5-link suspension is realistically reproduced. Coil springs enable suspension movement. Solid synthetic rubber tires feature realistic tread patterns. Parts to depict the model as either a left-hand drive or right-hand drive vehicle are included.
